I thought I would just let you know about a game of hockey involving AB members. The Over 60 Masters Cup Semi-Final was between Worcestershire & Hereford (W&H) and Khalsa, held in Birmingham on Sunday 22 March.
After a tight game, W&H won by the only goal early in the second half. W&H will now contest the Final against the infamous Indian Gymkhana, who have been known to play 3 or 4 ex-Internationals such as Balwant Saini, Suti Khehar and Santa Bansal.
Congratulations to W&H, who included John Chong, Clive Kendall, Robin Conway, Trevor Denison and Colin Newman; new Member Mike Handley; who were joined by AB Guest Players Geoff Furneaux and Dave Lees.
Commiserations to Khalsa who included Sukhdev Dhesi, Paramjit Hayre and Jo Babbra.
